TikTok jumps in the social media app trend of adding stories with the pilot testing of a new feature called, “TikTok Stories”. It was first discovered by a guy named Matt Navarra who posted about it on Twitter and was later confirmed by TikTok.
This is another move to innovate and present new creative ways to connect to our customers. TikTok could be a chance of a lifetime for insurers that could bring growth and new opportunities to insurance and finance.
How can insurers and bankers benefit from this?
✔️ Short video is one of the fastest and effective ways to connect with our customers.
✔️ Reach the younger potential customers on TikTok and share informative short videos, text, or images about insurance and finance.
✔️ TikTok wide audience opens an opportunity for brand positioning and visibility.
✔️ Introduce products and services or share some useful tips.
✔️ Follow friends in the industry and share insights.
TikTok Stories resemble other apps that also have a story feature but has a few added kicks to it.
Features
✔️ Share stories that live for 24 hours (pictures or short videos)
✔️ View stories from other content creators and accounts we follow
✔️ See comments from friends
✔️ Reacts to other people’s stories with a comment
✔️ Add text, stickers, insert sounds, or use effects
How to Create Your First TikTok Story
✔️ There is a collapsible left-hand side panel in the main screen. Slide-over or tap the camera button on the upper left of the screen. The navigation bar will appear.
✔️ Personalize your story with text, stickers, insert sounds and effects.
✔️ You’re good to go. Post your story.
TikTok Stories is still on its pilot testing, available in selected countries. For how long? We don’t know yet. But as early as now, we can tell that this could be another game-changer from TikTok.
“We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience. Currently we’re experimenting with ways to give creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community.” – TikTok
