Thanks to social media – distance is just a number, opportunities are just a few clicks, and with just a few swipes, numerous data and information are in front of you. The insurance industry is making good use of social media in spreading awareness in insurance, and most importantly, being present in the day-to-day life of many consumers.
Twitter is one of the many social media applications where you can get the latest news, connect with the people relevant to you, and share important facts that could benefit the many.
In the recent graph gallery of NodeXL, a project from the Social Media Research Foundation, Dr. Robin Kiera ranked second out of 2,670 Twitter users whose tweets in the requested range contained “InsurTech”, or who were replied to or mentioned in those tweets.
To Dr. Kiera, social media can bridge a lot of gaps, and it is his responsibility to find those that are often left unnoticed. The insurance industry needs a lot of fixing, and the result of this graph is a reminder to continue being present to help mend these damages.
